Albania is taking another important step toward membership in the European Union. The 10th Albania-EU Intergovernmental Conference is being held today in Luxembourg, where negotiations on Chapter 20, “Enterprise and Industrial Policy,” are expected to be formally closed.

With the closure of this chapter, Albania will have provisionally closed four chapters, continuing progress in its accession negotiations and pursuing the goal of completing them by 2027.
Chapter 20 concerns the development of entrepreneurship, industrial policy, support for businesses, innovation and improving the competitiveness of the Albanian economy.
