At least 15 people have lost their lives after a major fire engulfed an educational center in the city of Lucknow, in northern India.
According to local authorities, most of the victims were students who were inside the training center when the fire broke out. About 21 people were reportedly present in the building, while two of them were seriously injured and four others are in stable condition.

Distressing footage from the scene shows students trying to escape by getting out of the building, while emergency teams intervened to evacuate people and extinguish the flames.
The center where the fire occurred offered training for students in the field of animation creation, said the state’s deputy chief minister, Brajesh Pathak.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, while checks continue on the building’s safety conditions. The tragedy has sparked numerous reactions in India, where similar incidents in educational buildings have previously raised concerns about safety measures.
