Kosovo’s government today established a working group tasked with handling the defense of former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) during the appeals phase at the Special Court.

The group will be headed by Kosovo’s deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs, Glauk Konjufca.
The formation and operation of the group were also discussed on the “Rubikon” program, where Daut Haradinaj, a member of the Alliance’s leadership, was a guest.
Haradinaj said the initiative cannot be effective unless it is accompanied by financial resources and a clearly defined strategy.
“Without a budget and without a strategy, it produces nothing,” Haradinaj declared.
