In a brief and direct message, Gërvalla made it clear that there would be no retreat or compromise when it comes to the will of the citizens and the interests of the Republic.
“We will not retreat. We will not surrender. We will not stop. We will not compromise on the will of the citizens or the interests of the Republic,” Gërvalla wrote.
She also stressed that accountability to citizens cannot be called into question.
“Accountability to the citizen is not negotiable,” Gërvalla stated.
Her post was accompanied by several photographs taken inside the Assembly, showing her among journalists, camera operators and other members of the media.
Her response followed a day of heightened tensions in the Kosovo Assembly, marked by clashes between the ruling parties and the opposition.
Gërvalla’s statement may also be interpreted as a political response to criticism and pressure from the opposition, signaling that the government has no intention of changing course following today’s developments in the Assembly.
