New details have been revealed about the escape dynamics of Armand Shakaj, who is accused of murdering his friend, Eglant Koçi, an event that occurred on June 4.
Sources from the investigative team indicate that after the crime, Shakaj hid for 10 days in the Elbasan district, taking sophisticated measures to avoid identification by the police.

To avoid detection, the perpetrator changed his physical appearance and followed a strategy of limited movement.
He is suspected of staying in hotels and daily rental apartments in areas such as Peqin and Cërrik, while for his transportation he exclusively used taxi services, avoiding the use of personal vehicles.
In cases where identification was requested, he presented forged documents. Although investigators managed to track him through his cellphone signal, Shakaj managed to disappear just before police operations to capture him.
Currently, the perpetrator remains at large, while authorities strongly suspect that he enjoys the support of close persons, with whom he maintains continuous contact.
We recall that Armand Shakaj killed his friend Eglant Koçi and then attempted to conceal the crime by dumping the body in a steep area, at the peak of Korra in the village of Cerrujë, at an altitude of 1450 meters. The victim’s body was found by police after two weeks of intensive searches.
