Citizens have gathered in Skanderbeg Square, from where they will march along the boulevard toward the Prime Minister’s Office. After arriving in front of the government building, speeches are expected to be delivered outlining concerns and opposition to government policies.
One of the protesters’ main demands is Edi Rama’s resignation. Their platform also calls for the establishment of a transitional government with a 12-month mandate, tasked with preparing the country for the next elections.
Another demand is the repeal of several legal initiatives that protesters consider harmful to the interests of Albanian citizens.
The organizers have announced that the rallies will continue in the coming days and that the movement will not withdraw until its demands are met.
