American music star Chris Brown has officially pleaded guilty to the assault charge against music producer Abraham Diaw in an incident that occurred at a London nightclub three years ago.
On Friday, July 24, the singer appeared at Southwark Crown Court and changed his previous plea from not guilty to guilty. The news was confirmed by British media sources and TMZ reports.

The incident in question dates back to February 2023 at the well-known London club ‘Tape.’ According to producer Diaw’s claims, he was struck with a bottle during a confrontation. After his arrest, Brown was released on bail, posting a bond of 5 million pounds.
At the court hearing, Brown’s associate Omololu Akinlolu, who was at the scene, also pleaded guilty to assault.
Both defendants confirmed that they had used or threatened unlawful force against the victim, creating a situation that would cause fear for personal safety in any reasonable person.
As the proceedings continued, the prosecution decided to drop the more serious charges, including attempted grievous bodily harm and another charge of actual bodily harm.
The court has announced that sentencing for Chris Brown and Omololu Akinlolu will be handed down on October 26.
