Students today began their latest national protest outside the Ministry of Education in Tirana. After more than 150 days of protests and resistance, the student movement has decided to step up its campaign, adopting a new organizing strategy with two national protests a week.
According to an announcement published by the organizers, the protests will take place every Wednesday and Saturday at the same time, 14:00.

The decision aims to sustain student mobilization and increase pressure on the government to meet their demands. Central to the students’ position remains their demand for Prime Minister Edi Rama’s resignation, which they consider non-negotiable.
The organizers say that, despite months of protests, they have yet to receive the response they are seeking from the government.
In their statement, the students stress that they are prepared for a long battle and that this new phase of organizing aims to build a more sustainable and stronger movement.
Meanwhile, the boycott of classes continues.
For his part, Prime Minister Edi Rama has repeated his calls for dialogue with the protesting students, expressing his willingness to communicate.
So far, however, this offer has not changed the protesters’ position, and they continue to insist that the prime minister’s resignation is their main demand.
Lecturers and members of the public have also rallied behind the students, expressing solidarity with their cause.
A new strategy: two national protests a week.
In its announcement, the group “Students in Protest” said the decision to hold two national protests a week follows a prolonged period of resistance and aims to give students and supporters the opportunity to be better organized.
The organizers have also stated that they will continue to support other civic protests against the government, regardless of when and where they are held.
Today’s protest is expected to be another important moment for the student movement, although it remains to be seen how many people will attend and whether the rally will include marches or other forms of protest.
The students have called on all young people and members of the public who support their cause to join today’s protest, which begins at 14:00 outside the Ministry of Education in Tirana.
