Besnik Tahiri, head of the Alliance Parliamentary Group, has submitted three proposals to the Legislation Committee, calling for them to be included on the agenda of the parliamentary committee’s work.

One of the initiatives calls for oversight of the implementation of the laws on the Commercial Court and the Administrative Court. According to the proposal, this process would serve to analyze the results, challenges and impact of these courts on improving the efficiency of the justice system.
The second initiative focuses on drafting the Law on Deputies. This law would more clearly define the rights, obligations and responsibilities of deputies, along with their status and benefits during their mandate and after its completion.
The third proposal concerns assessing the possibility of establishing a specialized court to fight corruption. Tahiri has requested that, as part of the consideration of this idea, a study visit be conducted to SPAK and the Assembly of Albania, in order to gain first-hand insight into the country’s experience, the way the institution was established, the challenges it has faced and the opportunities this model could offer.
In a Facebook post, Tahiri said that these three issues are important for strengthening the rule of law, improving the functioning of the justice system, and advancing the integrity and accountability of institutions.
