In the village of Bogomillë, in the municipality of Çashkë, the flames reached the first houses, making the situation extremely serious. A larger catastrophe was averted thanks to the residents’ immediate response and the intervention of firefighters from Veles.
The most critical situation arose in the Pelagonia Region, where fires threatened the villages of Ivanovci, Lozneni and Novo Selane. Angellov personally went to Lozneni and said the fire front was just fifty meters from the houses, while spreading through dry grass more than half a meter high.
The Crisis Management Center (QMK) announced that, as of 7:30 this morning, a total of 40 fires had been recorded across the country. Of these, six remained active, three had been brought under control and 31 had been extinguished./Telegrafi/
