Florjan Binaj spoke about the possibility of becoming more directly involved in politics and his civic engagement during an interview given to Euronews Albania this Saturday.

Asked whether he could run as an independent candidate for mayor of Tirana or, in another scenario, become part of a united opposition front, the actor and activist replied briefly: “Yes.”
Following this response, the journalist sought to learn what reasons had led Binaj to consider such a candidacy.
He explained that this was a responsibility that anyone who believes they can help improve society should take on.
“That’s where my thinking leads me: I believe this is the right thing to do, not just for me, but for anyone who can make a contribution to society,” Binaj said.
According to him, change cannot be achieved solely through social media or virtual support, but requires involvement and concrete action.
“Anyone who thinks that ‘enough is enough,’ anyone who thinks that this city can be improved, like any city, and that it can be improved not through the algorithm, not through likes, not through comments such as ‘Bravo, boss, you’re a star, you’re so handsome, boss,’ and posts, but through how much we will take on and how much we will post,” the actor declared.
However, it is still unclear whether Florjan Binaj will enter the race as an independent candidate or join a broader opposition coalition.
