Today marks the 97th day of the protest, with citizens, as every day, reiterating their demands for Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government to step down.
Protesters are calling for the creation of a transitional government with a 12-month mandate, which must guarantee a new political process.
Another demand voiced during the protests is the repeal of several laws that protesters consider contrary to the interests of citizens.
Activists have stated that the protest will not stop and that the gatherings will continue in the coming days, including protests in front of Parliament.
“We will continue the protests until Edi Rama resigns,” is the message repeatedly voiced by the protesters, who aim for the 100th protest on September 7 to mark a broad civic mobilization.
