The flames have continued for five consecutive days, while several fire hotspots are suspected of having been deliberately set. Numerous personnel from all state agencies have been deployed to the area and are working to bring the fire under control and extinguish it.
As part of the investigation, according to preliminary information, several people suspected of deliberate arson are expected to be taken in for questioning. The prosecutor’s office will seek to determine the causes and identify those responsible for the fires that have engulfed Lurë’s forested area.
