Journalist and political analyst Ismail Muqiqi has said that Albania’s diplomatic support for Kosovo has been declining for some time, blaming Prime Minister Edi Rama for the situation.

According to him, Rama’s approach has allowed Serbia to assume a more prominent position in Tirana’s relations, while Kosovo has been pushed into the background.
“For some time now, Kosovo has no longer enjoyed the support of Albanian diplomacy. The main person responsible for this is Albania’s Prime Minister, Edi Rama, who has put Serbia first and sidelined Kosovo,” Muqiqi emphasized.
He said that Pristina has been excluded from Tirana’s policy priorities, linking this to what he described as a destructive political course pursued by the head of the Albanian government.
“Certainly, Pristina has fallen outside Albania’s main focus because of Edi Rama’s destructive approach, as he continues to trample on and ignore Kosovo. This is the result of Rama’s diplomatic policy, which, sadly, has turned Kosovo into a secondary issue,” he said.
Muqiqi emphasized that Albania should play a greater role in promoting the Kosovo issue on the international stage and called for a fundamental change in official Tirana’s stance.
“Absolutely, Albania has lost its direction and credibility in its relations with Kosovo. Unfortunately, Albania is responsible for advancing the Kosovo issue in global diplomacy. Therefore, this is the last moment for it to completely change its policy toward Kosovo,” political analyst and journalist Ismail Muqiqi said.
