Seven citizens were brought to safety from the waters of the Black Drin River in Bulqizë following a joint operation by the Police and emergency services.

The intervention began after the Bulqizë Police Station received a phone call from a citizen who reported that he and six members of his family had been stranded at a place known as “Gjoricë Bridge.”
They became trapped after the water level rose suddenly.
Police officers immediately headed to the scene and, in coordination with the Civil Emergencies Department of Dibër Prefecture and the firefighting team, organized an operation to rescue the citizens.
All seven people were evacuated from the river using an inflatable boat. They suffered no injuries and are in good health.
The Dibër Police state that they remain fully committed to serving citizens. They urge people to exercise extra caution when staying near rivers and bodies of water, particularly when water levels may rise suddenly, and call on the public to notify the Police without delay whenever assistance is needed.
