In their search for him, law enforcement has named a 21-year-old with the initials Abdul B., who is considered the suspected perpetrator of the serious incident.
According to official announcements, the young man has not yet been taken into custody, but he is a name familiar to the police structures of the German capital, due to his involvement in radical Islamic circles.
Florian Nath, police spokesperson, confirmed the suspect’s ties, stating: “The individual is registered in our files. We know him as a member of Islamic groups operating here in Berlin, and the operation to locate him is in full force.”

It is reported that the heavy vehicle drove into the Tiergarten park area around 10:00 PM, striking a significant number of passersby before ending its trajectory against a tree.
Investigative teams are interviewing eyewitnesses and are carefully examining claims that some of the injured individuals may have also suffered knife cuts, although officials caution that it is still too early to provide a definitive version of events.
Meanwhile, the hunt to capture the suspect continues unabated, as police call on the public to submit any photographic or video material that could facilitate the investigation process.
