A young Kosovar citizen was arrested on Saturday by Serbian authorities at the Horgos border crossing, located between Hungary and Serbia, while traveling from Germany to Kosovo.

In a post on the social network Facebook, lawyer Arianit Koci confirmed the incident and specified that the detained person was born in 1997.
Koci explained that he obtained the information from a source whose identity he has verified, and that the Kosovar is still being held in police facilities near the border point.
In his full post, the lawyer revealed that during the vehicle inspection, police officers discovered an emblem of the Kosovo Liberation Army under a seat. According to the information Koci received, the traveler was unaware of the presence of that symbol in the car.
Also during the search, some silver coins were found. However, the lawyer emphasized that so far, the Serbian police have behaved correctly toward the young man.
Koci stated that for the moment he will not make public the name of the detained person and that he is closely monitoring the development of the case. He promised to provide additional information as soon as he has new, verified data regarding the young man’s procedural status.
