Political analyst Lirim Gashi has erupted with strong criticism against what he describes as Serbian nationalist hate speech and attempts to justify or downplay crimes committed in the past.

In an extended public reaction, Gashi accuses supporters of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s line and other former political and military figures of using propaganda, distortions of the truth, and nationalist narratives to avoid accountability for war crimes.
According to him, calls for “Greater Serbia” have brought more harm to Serbia itself, plunging it into isolation and worsening the lives of its citizens.
A central point of Gashi’s reaction concerns the statement by Serbian minister Snežana Paunović, who expressed regret that Slobodan Milošević did not complete the ethnic cleansing in Kosovo. Gashi harshly criticizes the fact that this statement has been defended, calling it unacceptable and an attempt to justify the regret that a people was not completely exterminated or expelled.
The analyst also takes aim at narratives that portray Serbia as a perpetual victim and deny guilt for historical events, labeling them as propaganda and manipulation of public opinion.
In closing, Gashi lends support to Serbian politician Nikola Sandulović, whom he sees as the voice of honest and democratic citizens of Serbia. He emphasizes that the country needs figures who champion peace, responsibility, and a break from policies of hatred.
“Long live Greater Serbia!” is the roar that shrinks Serbia the most.
Dear Serbs of Vučić, Milošević, Karadžić, Mladić, Šešelj, and Arkan,
Sincerely, I congratulate you on the display of the highest degree of cynicism, hypocrisy, lies, deception, and manipulation.
You are two-legged creatures who have turned aggressive and demonstrative Serbism into an everyday profession, while simultaneously living as parasites on the back of your state, whose budget is filled by the poor and suffering citizens of Serbia — precisely those people whose lives you destroy daily through violence, plunder, hatred, and your mythological illusions.
But not even that is enough for your demented brain:
Whenever you are caught stealing, plundering, deceiving, and harming the honest, humane, and educated Serbs, you howl like rabid wolves:
“Long live Greater Serbia!”
Ironically, the louder your howl becomes, the smaller, more isolated, emptier, and deader Serbia becomes.
You, who see yourselves as proud heirs of the genocidal genes of Vučić, Šešelj, Milošević, Karadžić, Mladić, and Arkan, are without rivals the most distinguished students of the “Faculty of Hamutology” — the imaginary science of justifying foolishness and lies.
Therefore I have no doubt that Aleksandar Vučić will personally decorate you with the title “Hamutologists of the century,” to the thunderous applause of all professional nodding-heads.
According to your rotten logic, Serbia has always been as innocent as a newborn lamb. It has never harmed anyone, not even stepped on a single ant, and everything that has happened to it is the work of extraterrestrials, Freemasons, global conspiracies, and cosmic forces.
Truly a stunning theory — it only lacks a bit of science fiction to be completely complete.
When Minister Snežana Paunović publicly expresses regret that Milošević did not finish the ethnic cleansing of Kosovo, instead of distancing yourselves from such a statement, you defend it as if she had shared a recipe for pie, not expressed regret that a people was not killed or expelled entirely.
And then you still expect someone to believe you are moral authorities and eternal victims.
This is not argumentation. This is shameful propaganda packaged as truth.
It is no coincidence that Dobrica Ćosić considered the lie to be your greatest political skill and achievement.
The problem is that you, as his most diligent students, have turned that “lesson” into a lifelong profession.
That is why today you lie with such confidence that the truth seems like hostile propaganda to you.
Shame does not lie in the fact that a person makes a mistake. Shame begins when someone justifies and defends a statement that expresses regret that a people was not killed or expelled entirely, simply because they had always lived on their own autochthonous territory, which you did not bring on the back of some donkey from the Carpathians.
You truly do not deserve to be represented by a man of global stature, human greatness, and moral integrity like Nikola Sandulović.
But that is certainly what all normal, honest, and well-meaning citizens of Serbia deserve, those who wish for you to finally climb off their backs and stop dragging them by the nose toward hatred, isolation, and destruction.
