Mostafa, 64, is the eldest son of the late leader and a Shiite cleric. He has played a limited role in politics and currently holds no position in the Iranian government, although he is considered an influential figure in religious circles.

Masoud, 52, also a cleric, is Khamenei’s third son. He heads the Office for the Preservation and Publication of the Leader’s Works, an institution responsible for archiving and promoting his speeches. According to some sources, he also exerts influence over a broad media network.

Meysam, 48, the youngest son, has maintained a lower public profile and has also worked at the same office connected to the works of the late leader.

At Sunday’s ceremony, close family members were also noticed, including Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, Mojtaba’s father-in-law, as well as Mohammad Mohammadi Golpayegani, Khamenei’s son-in-law, whose 4-year-old daughter was buried in a small coffin.
