One of the most significant scenes of the large civic march along Tirana’s main thoroughfares was recorded as protesters moved through the streets of the capital, where an act with strong symbolism against the leading figures of Albanian politics was displayed.
As part of this organized action, the participants in the protest brought with them photographs of representatives of the ruling majority, but also well-known opposition figures, attaching them to garbage bins along the march route.

The protesters’ message was direct and excluded none of the figures who, in their view, embody the prolonged transition, corruption, and the system’s repeated failures in Albania.
On garbage bins placed in different areas of Tirana, photographs were seen of Prime Minister Edi Rama, Belinda Balluku, Taulant Balla, as well as former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and MP Zegjine Çaushi.
