According to the organizers, 120,787 voters took part in the process. Glucksmann finished well ahead of his rivals, including Olivier Faure, leader of the Socialist Party, who secured 14% of the vote.
Ségolène Royal, Jérôme Goetz and Emmanuel Morel, the other three candidates, each received less than 10%. With this result, Glucksmann secured the support of a majority of voters in the preliminary process to select the social democratic left’s candidate for the French presidential race.
