The Basic Court has laid out in its case file the sequence of events in Livoç i Ultë, Gjilan, where V.R. is suspected of killing his wife and her brother, as well as wounding two other people. He has been remanded in custody for one month.

The incident occurred on Friday, October 9, at around 2:21 p.m. In the court file, the date of the case is recorded as 09.10.2026.
According to the court’s account, following a disagreement whose motives are still unknown, the defendant, V.R., and his wife, N.B., went to her family in the village of Pozheran, in the Municipality of Viti. However, they immediately set off to return toward Gjilan.
To speak with him, M.B., R.B. and the wife’s brother, E.B., followed him in an Opel Combo pickup truck with license plates 239-HM. When they reached the entrance to the village of Livoç i Ultë, they overtook him and stopped to wait for him. V.R., who was driving a black Tiguan with license plates 06-767-HK, continued toward Gjilan.
The case file states that, while driving, the defendant shot his wife at close range with a Beretta firearm bearing serial number PX321722. N.B. was sitting in the front passenger seat on the right-hand side and died from the gunshots. The court describes the killing as intentional.
V.R. then returned via another road to the entrance of Livoç and stopped the Tiguan behind the pickup, where M.B., R.B. and E.B. were. After they got out of the vehicle, the defendant also stepped out with the Beretta in his hand. According to the case file, he told them that he had lost his own life by killing his wife and threatened to kill them as well, before immediately opening fire in their direction.
R.B., whose life was endangered, managed to get away. M.B. suffered serious injuries but was able to flee and enter the yard of a house. E.B. did not manage to escape; according to the court, V.R. shot at him several times, intentionally killing him at the scene.
Afterward, the defendant drove the Tiguan, in which N.B.’s body was located, to the grounds of the regional hospital in Gjilan. He left the vehicle in front of the emergency department and then went to the police, where he surrendered.
