Journalist Klodiana Lala said on the “Zonë e Lirë” program that the investigation into Roni Yeffet is in its early stages, but could extend to very senior levels of the Albanian government.

According to her, searches were carried out at Ardi Veliu’s home, while checks are also being conducted into Roni Yeffet, Arjeta Puca and several officials from the Ministry of the Interior. The investigation is being overseen by SPAK head Klodian Braho.
“The investigation into Roni Yeffet has just begun. There have been searches at Ardi Veliu’s home. Roni Yeffet has been personally searched, and searches have also been conducted at Arjeta Puca’s premises and those of officials from the Ministry of the Interior. It is an investigation being overseen by SPAK head Klodian Braho,” Lala said.
The journalist stressed that, so far, no one has been given suspect status. She raised questions about the fact that a company which, according to her, was created out of nowhere has received €40 million from the state budget.
“The fact that a company created out of nowhere receives €40 million from the budget means that there is something here. We have an intermediary who, according to Ahmetaj, is Ermal Nufi, the defense minister,” Klodiana Lala said.
Meanwhile, Flogert Muça said the matter could take a different direction without becoming a criminal investigation. He argued that every state has companies involved in arms production and that the case could be linked to a major international transaction.
“The matter could unfold without a criminal investigation. Every state has companies that produce weapons. I believe it is a major international transaction involving extremely significant interests that go beyond the history of this investigation,” Muça said.
