The North Macedonia Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on Saturday that, as part of the coordinated Task Force team’s work, ministry officers carried out actions from 2 to 4 October in 13 cases related to illicit drug trafficking in several areas of the country.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, checks and searches of people, vehicles and premises resulted in the seizure of large quantities of narcotics, while 20 people were deprived of their freedom. Two of them were foreign nationals from Poland and the Czech Republic.
In Strumica, 59 cannabis plants weighing approximately 680 kilograms were seized, while approximately 800 grams of cannabis were found in Skopje.
Meanwhile, cocaine, other narcotics and approximately €5,000 were seized in Veles. A total of approximately 200 grams of cocaine, 505 millilitres of hashish oil and 4.58 grams of cannabis were also found at four locations.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs explained that criminal complaints would be filed in these cases.
