The chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, told the media that the meeting with the PDK leadership and parliamentary group would also focus on the latest political developments.

One of the issues he raised was the amendment of the Law on Specialist Chambers, a topic Hamza had discussed with Prime Minister Albin Kurti the previous day.
According to Hamza, the procedure should begin with the approval of the legal amendments in both readings. Only after that, he said, should the presidential candidacy be submitted and the vote held, so that Kosovo does not go to elections.
“Our position is that the law should be approved in both readings, then a name should be proposed for president and the president should be elected, with the aim of avoiding elections. If someone intends to take the country to elections, that is another matter,” Hamza said.
He also announced that any future meeting with Prime Minister Kurti would be made public at the appropriate time.
