Heavy rainfall has caused major flooding in the Catalonia region of Spain, leaving two people dead, while authorities continue searching for another person who is missing.
Salvador Illa, the Catalan leader, announced in a social media post that a man had died after a wall collapsed in Tordera, a town north of Barcelona.

The second victim was reported in the municipality of Montornès del Vallès, firefighters said. Meanwhile, emergency teams are working to find a person who went missing in Pineda de Mar, also north of Barcelona.
