Pulse” case: Dejan Jovanov’s pre-trial detention extended for another 30 days

The decision was made after the preliminary proceedings judge reviewed the request of the public prosecutor from the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption. The suspect was questioned in the presence of his defense lawyer, while the facts and evidence submitted with the request were also analyzed.

The grounds for imposing pre-trial detention are linked to the possibility of flight and the well-founded suspicion that D.J. could obstruct the investigation by influencing witnesses.

The new measure will take effect on October 3, 2026. D.J. is currently being held in pre-trial detention in connection with the case involving the fire at the “Pulse” nightclub.

As part of the new investigation, he is suspected of the criminal offense of “giving a bribe,” as provided for in Article 358, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code./Telegrafi/
