Lala said that the Albanian authorities have sent a mutual legal assistance request and begun exchanging information with the Italian authorities regarding a suspected property in Italy.
“SPAK is verifying suspicions regarding several assets that are believed to have been concealed abroad. There is a mutual legal assistance request and an exchange of information concerning an asset there. It is not known whether it is a villa or not,” the journalist stated.
According to her, the verification procedures have not yet been completed, while it remains unclear what type of property is the subject of the request sent to the Italian authorities.
“If it turns out that there is also an asset in Italy, the situation becomes more serious for Balluku,” Lala said.
SPAK’s investigation into Balluku is ongoing, while the assets and transactions that may be related to the case are also part of the verification process.
