A coordinated operation is under way in Skopje, including the Čair municipality, as well as in Tetovo and Gevgelija, targeting a criminal group suspected of smuggling, the illegal sale of medicines, pharmaceuticals and supplements, as well as criminal offenses related to corruption.

Initial unofficial sources report that 6 people have been arrested so far. Meanwhile, the authorities are also searching for several other suspects, including employees of the Customs Administration. Police operations are being carried out at more than 10 locations in the cities involved in the action.
During searches at a legal entity in Skopje and Tetovo, a warehouse storing various medicines was found, while a machine for extracting oil was also seized.
The operation is being led by the Department for Combating Organized Crime within the Bureau of Public Security (MBO – MPB).
