An explosion near a café in central Moscow has killed three people and injured 15 others. The news was reported by the Russian state news agency TASS, citing official sources.
The incident occurred near a café in Kudrinskaya Square and caused panic in the area. Following the explosion, large numbers of Interior Ministry personnel and emergency crews were deployed to assist the injured.

Russia’s Health Ministry said that all those injured had been taken to hospital, where they are receiving the necessary medical care.
Meanwhile, several Russian media outlets and bloggers have reported that Alexander Chaiko, commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, was celebrating his birthday at a luxury restaurant near the site of the explosion. However, there has so far been no official confirmation either of his presence or of any possible connection to the incident.
