Following the publication on social media of videos showing police intervention at a gathering held in Tirana, in which two police officers appear to have exceeded their powers and the principle of proportionality, the State Police issued an official response.

State Police Director General Skënder Hita ordered the suspension from duty of the two officers involved: Inspector E. P., a member of the General Patrol at Police Station No. 3 in Tirana, and Inspector T. Ç., who serves in the same patrol and police station.
Hita also requested that the Directorate of Professional Standards initiate disciplinary proceedings against them.
