Tomë Gashi, the Dehari family’s lawyer, appeared before the Special Prosecution and said there was no doubt that Astrit Dehari had been murdered. He rejected the claim that the Vetëvendosje Movement activist had taken his own life at the Detention Center in Prizren.
According to Gashi, the available evidence leads to only one conclusion: Dehari was murdered. The lawyer criticized the prosecutors, accusing them of trying to close the case by presenting it as a suicide.
