The situation escalates! Mass detentions of protesters, pinned to the ground and handcuffed, police block footage

The mass detention of protesters is continuing. The situation has escalated in front of Parliament, after police used tear gas to disperse the protesters.

Many other people have been detained, and footage shows them lying on the ground in handcuffs while many other police officers formed a “barrier” to obstruct clear images of the moments of arrest and the tensions.
