Police have deployed the water cannon again, directing it at the crowd and spraying high-pressure water. Large quantities of tear gas have also been thrown at the young people from the rooftop.
The intervention by law enforcement forces has not driven the young people from the streets. They continue to remain there, as the protest spreads to various areas of the capital.
One of the participants, while expressing his anger at the government, declared that, in his view, those in power had come to an end tonight.
Amid the continuing tensions, protesters are expressing their dissatisfaction with the government and calling for Prime Minister Edi Rama to step down.
