Sveçla Declares Vladimir Luçiq Persona Non Grata, Permanently Bans Him from Entering Kosovo

Xhelal Sveçla, acting Minister of Internal Affairs, announced that Vladimir Luçiq, the head of Telekom Serbia, has been declared persona non grata in the Republic of Kosovo. The decision permanently bars him from entering, staying in, or transiting through the country’s territory.

In a Facebook post, Sveçla explained that the measure was taken because of Luçiq’s public statements, “Bota sot” reports. He stressed that Kosovo will not accept actions or positions that undermine its constitutional order, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

In his full statement, Sveçla said that no one can be allowed to enter the Republic of Kosovo and, while on its territory, act or speak against its constitutional order, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. According to him, the promotion or support of policies that undermine the authority of its institutions and call the statehood of the Republic of Kosovo into question will not be tolerated.

He made it clear that, based on Vladimir Luçiq’s public statements, he had decided to declare him persona non grata, permanently barring him from entering, staying in, or transiting through the Republic of Kosovo. Sveçla reiterated that the Republic of Kosovo is an independent and sovereign state, while its institutions will continue to resolutely defend the country’s constitutional order, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
