Driton Sulejmani, a representative of the VLEN coalition, discussed political developments following the elections in Bërvenica on the program “Debat në Shenja.” He said voters had delivered their verdict and that, in this case, demographics had determined the outcome.
According to Sulejmani, the result should not be given any other political meaning. He noted that issues unrelated to local government had been raised during the campaign.

In this context, Sulejmani criticized BDI for bringing national issues into the local elections, describing it as political manipulation. Such issues, he said, belong in parliamentary elections, not local ones.
He also responded to accusations that VLEN had acted destructively. Sulejmani said that, thanks to the coalition’s constructive policies, BDI now has one more municipality, and he called the accusations of destructive behavior unfounded.
Speaking about the period after the 2025 local elections, he said that Haqim Ramadani, unlike Arkin Jahiu, had set aside party symbols. Sulejmani added that the VLEN candidate had gone to congratulate him and offer support.
Regarding statements by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, Sulejmani said they could be part of the rhetoric before and after elections. He stressed that the government was not formed for a single municipality and that local developments would not harm relations between the governing partners.
