The Socialist Party has reacted on social media following an escalation of the situation during protests in Tirana.

In its statement, the party said Albanian citizens would not remain bound to the past. The post was accompanied by a video showing clashes between protesters and police.
“Everyone is accountable before the law, and anyone who had a hand in this chaos will certainly pay. Albania will never go back. Albanians will never again be hostages to the past. The future belongs to Albania and the Albanians,” the Socialist Party said in its statement.
