Protesters assemble in Skënderbej Square and then march toward the Prime Minister’s Office, reiterating their core demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
“Rama resign” is one of the protesters’ main chants, while the rally also calls for a “New Albania” and a change of the political class.
Organizers and participants say the protests will continue every day, aiming to exert pressure for changes in the country’s political leadership.
“Rama to prison, Berisha to prison,” and “Albania demands a revolution” are among the citizens’ chants.
