Prime Minister Edi Rama commented on the social media platform X on the numerous calls for Albania to take a stronger stance against the statement made by Serbian Minister Snezhana Paunović.
Rama said that the claim that every person with a public voice, institution or authority must respond to every piece of nonsense said in Serbian, even when it comes from figures whose existence was previously known only to their families, demonstrates a lack of respect for oneself and the country on the part of those raising the alarm and demanding to know why one person or another has not reacted.

According to the prime minister, Albania’s position was conveyed through the foreign minister, as a self-respecting state would act. He added that anyone expecting the country to turn into a hysterical chorus every time a “fool” appears in Belgrade and talks nonsense has knocked on the wrong door.
Finally, Rama also referred to the reactions coming from Tirana, saying that it is enough to see how some people find a “dead horse” in order to strike poses as warriors on the front line to understand why their category deserves nothing but the next round of pity. He added that if anyone wants to laugh at them, they should also find the time to read them.
