On Tuesday afternoon, vehicle traffic on the national Librazhd-Prrenjas road was temporarily suspended after soil and rocks ended up on the roadway in the area known as the “Dragostunja Bends.”
The incident occurred at around 17:00, immediately after heavy rainfall hit the Librazhd area. As a result of the rainwater, material broke away from the side slopes, blocking both lanes of the road and preventing vehicles from passing.

For more than an hour, vehicle movement remained suspended, causing long lines to form on both sides of the road.
Teams and equipment from the company working on this segment arrived at the scene and immediately began clearing the road of the fallen material.
The management of the situation was further complicated by the works being carried out to widen this road as part of the Corridor VIII project. After the intervention with heavy machinery, traffic has begun to gradually resume, while the situation is moving toward normalization.
