Customers of ProCredit Bank Macedonia now have access to Apple Pay, a payment solution for iPhone and Apple Watch that offers greater security, reliability, and complete privacy.
With this service, users can make fast, simple, and secure payments through iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac. According to the bank, Apple Pay gives customers a more protected and private payment alternative, eliminating the need to hand a payment card to another person, touch physical buttons, or use cash, while every transaction is protected by iPhone technology.

To make a contactless payment, customers simply need to hold their iPhone or Apple Watch near the payment terminal. Every payment made through Apple Pay is first authenticated with Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode, while a dynamic security code is also used, unique and valid for only one transaction. This payment method is accepted at grocery stores, pharmacies, taxis, restaurants, cafes, retail outlets, as well as many other locations.
“The best digital solutions are the ones customers barely notice, because they simply work. With Apple Pay, we enable customers to pay quickly, securely, and easily, using the device they already carry with them every day. Our goal is for daily activities to require less time and less attention, so customers can focus on what is truly important to them,” said Stevçe Kuzmanovski, a member of the Management Board of ProCredit Bank Macedonia.
Apple Pay can also be used on iPhone, iPad, and Mac for faster and more convenient purchases in mobile apps or online through the Safari browser, without requiring users to create accounts or repeatedly fill in payment and delivery details. The service makes it easier to pay for food and grocery orders, online shopping, as well as transport and parking, and it can also be used for payments within mobile apps through Apple Watch.

According to official information, security and privacy are fundamental pillars of how Apple Pay operates. When a credit or debit card is used through this service, card numbers are stored neither on the device nor on Apple’s servers. Instead, a unique device account number is created, known as the Device Account Number, which is encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element, a chip certified according to industry standards and designed to store payment data on the device.
Setting up Apple Pay is simple. On iPhone, the user only needs to open the Wallet app, tap the “+” button, and follow the steps to add a credit or debit card from ProCredit Bank Macedonia. Once the card has been added to iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac, Apple Pay can be used immediately on that device. Customers will continue to enjoy all the benefits offered by ProCredit Bank Macedonia’s cards.
