At the Emergency Clinic (Internal Medicine Department) of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, a patient has been left without her family members for more than 24 hours.

Sources told journalist Arbreshë Uka that she has been alone in the Emergency Department since yesterday, at around 4:00 p.m. Her family members had brought her in for treatment and asked the medical staff to call them after the procedures were completed, but later cut off all contact.
The Kosovo Police have also been notified of the case. Although they have tried several times to contact the family members, the patient’s son, who had brought her in for treatment, did not answer calls from either the Police or the hospital staff.
Meanwhile, the Emergency Department’s healthcare personnel are caring not only for the patient’s medical treatment, but also for her daily needs and food.
