This Saturday, which marks the 35th day of the protest in Tirana, also coincided with the 62nd birthday of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
In Skanderbeg Square, participants in the gathering appeared with symbolic cakes bearing messages directed at the head of government.

One of the cakes brought by a citizen read: “The people wish you well, resign, and take Saliu with you.” Another said: “Cake today, resignation tomorrow.” One of the activists also declared that this would be his last birthday as prime minister.
The protest was accompanied by banners, chants and slogans against the government, while the protesters continued their calls throughout the gathering.
