Muja: The association of milk producers raised the alarm over the tenfold increase in powdered milk imports and the tripling of palm oil

Speaking on the Pressing program on T7, acting Minister of Agriculture Armend Muja was asked about the inspections carried out last week at the Vita dairy plant.

Muja said that since the end of 2023, powdered milk imports in Kosovo have increased tenfold, describing this as three years of record powdered milk imports.

He added that associations had also referred to another concern: the massive use of palm oil in 2024 and 2025 has tripled compared with previous years.

Asked which association had raised the alarm, Muja replied: “The association of milk producers.”
