North Macedonia’s Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, has said that he has no intention of running for president of the country, while emphasizing that, in his capacity as leader of VMRO-DPMNE, he will lead the party toward another major victory against SDSM in the next parliamentary elections.
“When I finish this stage of my life as Prime Minister, I will return to the faculty and to my students. I have never said when this will happen, whether after a year, five or ten. Those people who fear me, and whom I constantly see predicting some kind of end, will have to make a little more effort to make this last less, while I, for my part, will try even harder to make it last longer.

What does this mean? It means that I intend, as President of VMRO-DPMNE, to lead decisively toward another major parliamentary victory, and I would be pleased if we manage to improve the result of those elections compared to what we had more than two years ago. I still have many things to do for the citizens and for the state, because from this position I can clearly see what has been done wrong over the past decades.
The citizens deserve better conditions, I am motivated and I am working harder than ever before in my life. I try to help everyone I can, because I am not a miracle worker and I cannot come to everyone’s aid. I want to help and work miracles. However, within my means, I always try to provide help and, of course, to do what citizens expect from me, namely to deliver justice within the powers I have as Prime Minister. Therefore, I once again confirm that I have no ambition to be a candidate for president,” Mickoski said./Telegrafi/
