Giorgia Meloni has hailed the record set by the executive she leads, which she describes as the longest-serving government in Italy’s history. The prime minister of the neighboring country announced the achievement in a social media post.

According to Meloni, the government’s longevity is the result of unity within the coalition and a particularly attentive approach toward the public.
The Italian prime minister stressed that her government has never treated the trust placed in it by citizens as a “blank check.”
In her message, Meloni said she welcomed the milestone with gratitude, but also with a profound sense of responsibility. She emphasized that stability should not be seen as a record to be put on display, but as a condition that allows a country to plan, make decisions, fulfill its commitments and earn respect.
Meloni also listed the work carried out over these years to increase employment, reduce unemployment, support families and businesses, strengthen security and manage public finances responsibly. According to her, the efforts have also aimed to restore Italy’s standing and credibility on the international stage.
While acknowledging that the results are visible, she stressed that much remains to be done. Striking a modest tone, Meloni insisted that this stability should not be attributed to a single individual, but to the commitment of a coalition that has governed for four years on the basis of a shared vision and has chosen to remain united not against anyone, but to implement a project for Italy.
The prime minister announced that next year the coalition will once again go before the citizens, presenting the work it has completed, the tasks that remain and its vision for the future.
Meloni went on to say that citizens will once again be the ones to decide whether the government deserves to continue on this path. The post ended with the call: “Onward, with our feet on the ground and our eyes on the future.”
