VLEN co-chairs Bilall Kasami and Izet Mexhiti, together with MP Bekim Qoku, visited the “Blace” border crossing today, where they announced that on Monday a contract will be signed with the company that will carry out the construction of the second segment of the Skopje-Blace highway, TV21 reports. So far, only 2 of the 12 kilometers of this highway have been completed.
Kasami said that another promise is becoming reality, stressing that Skopje and Prishtina are being connected by highway. According to him, from Monday, after the signing of the contract for the works on the remaining 10 kilometers from Skopje to Blace, intensive work will begin to make this main artery of the Kosovo-North Macedonia corridor a reality.

Meanwhile, Mexhiti said that after VLEN entered the government, one of the first projects was the One Stop Shop at “Blace” and “Jazhince.” He said that today they are at the Blace border crossing, which according to him is the busiest crossing point in North Macedonia. Mexhiti added that the Skopje-Blace road is the main artery, one that has been talked about a lot and photographed often, but where very little concrete work has been done.
