The Police Oversight Agency has opened an investigation into the leadership structure of the Divjakë Police Station, on suspicion of abuse of office, following the discovery and seizure of 1,426 cannabis sativa plants cultivated in this area.
According to sources, the case has been sent to the Prosecutor’s Office, as there are suspicions that the station’s leaders failed to carry out the necessary checks to identify and crack down on plots cultivated with cannabis.

The plot containing narcotic substances was identified a few days ago in the place known as the “Divjakë Reservoir,” on an area of state-owned land. During the operation, 1,426 cannabis sativa plants were seized, along with 37 kilograms of suspected narcotic cannabis substance in the drying process, as well as 7 kilograms of cannabis in bud form.
