Lawyer Plarent Ndreca has revealed details of a conversation between Justice Minister Toni Gogu and Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, who was transferred from the prison in Durrës to the one in Fier.
The conversation took place on October 30, when Minister Gogu went to meet the mayor in person. The visit was not recorded in the prison logbook.

According to Ndreca, Gogu went to see Veliaj on Edi Rama’s instructions to deliver a message.
“I’m here on the prime minister’s instructions. I want to tell you exactly what he instructed me to say:
‘This is the last time I’m addressing you as your political father. From now on, I will address you only as prime minister.
Hand over your mandate immediately.
Delegate power to the people I name.
Drop your lawyer, Plarent Ndreca.
Otherwise, I will transfer you to Prison 302, direct SPAK to open an investigation into undermining the constitutional order, and let you rot in prison.’”
Veliaj responded immediately, telling the justice minister: “Even if I spend 100 years in prison, I will not bring shame on my children.” /G.Panorama
