The appeals process for the procurement of electric buses has been completed after the appeal submitted was rejected today by the second-instance Commission for Public Procurement Appeals. The news was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikolloski.

According to him, the contract-signing process is now expected to begin, while the requirement for the bidder, who will also be the state’s official contractor, is for the first 30 buses to be delivered in December or January. The delivery deadline is six months from the signing of the contract.
Nikolloski explained that a further 60 buses will arrive within 12 months, while the final 60 will arrive within 18 months, meaning that the delivery of all 150 buses will be completed within a year and a half. He made the statement on “TV Sitel.”
Meanwhile, on Thursday, agreements were signed at the Government for an investment grant from the European Union through the Western Balkans Investment Framework, as well as financing agreements with the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). These agreements provide the financial structure for implementing the third phase of the railway section from Kriva Palanka to the beginning of the cross-border tunnel with Bulgaria, as part of Railway Corridor 8.
Speaking about the project, Nikolloski said he was extremely pleased with the pace of its development and added that, if everything proceeds according to plan, intensive construction work is expected to begin at the start of next year.
